· 1 Pedro 2:13-15: “Por causa do Senhor, sujeitem-se a toda instituição humana, quer ao imperador, como soberano, quer aos governadores, como enviados por ele para castigar os que praticam o mal e louvar os que praticam o bem. Pois esta é a vontade de Deus: que, praticando o bem, vocês façam emudecer a ignorância dos insensatos.”
· Tito 3:1: “Lembre-os de que sejam submissos aos governantes e às autoridades, que sejam obedientes e estejam prontos para toda boa obra.”

2. Defensor da Justiça e da Retidão

· 1 Timóteo 2: 1-2: “Antes de tudo, recomendo que se façam súplicas, orações, intercessões e ações de graças por todos os homens, pelos reis e por todos os que exercem autoridade, para que tenhamos uma vida tranquila e pacífica, com toda a piedade e dignidade.”
· Salmo 72:1-2: “Ó Deus, dá ao rei a tua justiça, e a tua retidão ao filho do rei! Que ele julgue o teu povo com justiça, e os teus pobres com justiça!”
5. Envolva-se na política com propósitos piedosos.
· Provérbios 14:34: “A justiça exalta as nações, mas o pecado é a vergonha dos povos.”
· Ester 4:14: “E quem sabe se não foi para um tempo como este que vocês chegaram ao reino?”

1. A Soberania de Deus na Governança
